چکیده

Abstract In the analyses of uncertainty propagation buildings’ energy-demand, Monte Carlo method is commonly used. this study we present two alternative approaches: stochastic perturbation and transformed random variable method. The energy-demand analysis performed for representative single-family house in Poland. investigation focused on independent variables, considered as uncertain, expanded polystyrene thermal conductivity external temperature; however generalization any countable number parameters possible. Afterwards, calculations energy consumption has been investigated using aforementioned approaches. used to determine expected value central moments consumption, while allows obtain explicit form probability density function further characteristic like quantiles consumption. calculated data evinces a high accordance with results obtained by means most important conclusions are related computational cost reduction, simplicity application appropriateness proposed approaches calculations.

Nonlinear dynamic analyses are performed to compute the maximum relative input energy per unit mass for 21 multi-degree-of-freedom systems (MDOF) with preselected target fundamental periods of vibration ranging from 0.2 to 4.0 s and 6 target inter-story ductility demands of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 subjected to 40 the earthquake ground motions. The efficiency of the several intensity measures as an ind...

Single cycle supply chain coordination model for fuzzy stochastic demand of perishable items

Market demand of the  perishable bakery  products are volatile. Hence, demand of such items are random variable. The most appealing demand distribution of such items is lognormal demand distribution. Using historical data, the parameters of lognormal distribution are obtained. But, there is a problem of overestimation or underestimation of the parameters. Fuzzy triangular numbers are used to ov...

Multiscale Markov models with random transitions for energy demand management

A stochastic model is proposed for fluctuations in electricity demand that are associated with individual user’s consumption choices. Electricity consumption is modeled as a function of social activities of consumers. The dynamics of these activities are modeled as a Markov chain. Markov models are simplified models that capture the stochasticity to the unmodeled dynamics typically attributed t...

Dynamic Facility Location with Stochastic Demand

Determination of facilities, such as factories or warehouses, location and availability conditions is one of the important and strategic decisions for an organization to make. Transportation costs that form a major part of goods price are dependent to this decision making. There are verity of methods have been presented to achieve the optimal locations of these facilities which are generally de...
